Walking into the bedroom, I swept away all the decorations on the bed and could not help but speak first, “If you feel awkward, we can sleep in separate rooms.”
Seth folded his hands, leaning against the door, his face stiff. “I remember that we are a legal couple, a normal man and woman. I can understand that you are not ready, but why do you just assume that I don’t want to?”
I opened my eyes slightly and after seeing that his expression did not seem to be false, I said cautiously, “Don‘ t you say you are gay? Can you be gay with women?”
Seth’s beautiful peach blossom eyes widened instantly and he said in disbelief,
“Who said I’m gay?”
I blinked, hesitated for a moment and said, “Isn’t that what everyone says? They say

that you treat women like monsters and that you are definitely not interested in women and prefer men. Isn’t that true?”
I was defeated by Seth’s accusing eyes and said with deep regret, “No, it’s just a misunderstanding. As for today, when I was swearing the oath, I looked at you a few more times and you got mad at me. So, I guess you really don’t like me, do you?”
Seth took several deep breaths and asked through gritted teeth, “Have you forgotten me, Sylvia?”
“Hm?”
What did he mean? When had I ever seen him?
I frowned and tried hard to search my memory, but it was still a blank.
I could only honestly admit, “Who are you again?”
Seth took out a photo album from the bedside table. There was a photo of two

children on it.
Memories of the dead suddenly began to attack me. “Are you the big brother I called Charlie when I was a kid?”
When I was a kid, my parents were rarely at home. So, I would always climb over the wall to play with my neighbor next door.
We would build Lego and play with sand. When we were tired, we would lie down on a small bed and sleep.
I was looking at the photo album in which we played house with dolls and suddenly I remembered.
“When I was little, I said I would marry you. You would be the mother and I would be the father.
“But when I returned to Canada, you suddenly had a man who treated you with all your heart and eyes and I chose not to bother you anymore. But if he bullies you, I will never stand idly by.”

I glanced at the photo album, then looked at Seth in front of me.
The little boy who was so thin that he had to stay at home to recuperate every day had grown up to be so handsome and his strength should not be underestimated.
“Then why do people still say you are gay?”
“It’s because someone is jealous. If you try it, you will know whether I am gay or not.”
Seth’s eyes became more and more dangerous when he finished saying that.
I could not help but flinch for a moment, but he cheated and accidentally revealed his eight–pack abs completely.
I was half–hearted in a daze.

Later, Seth and I lived together and our lives went very smoothly every day.

Because Darrel was in a bad mood, he said the wrong thing at a press conference, causing the company’s stock market to plummet.
After suffering a heavy blow, he was never able to get back on his feet.
Sylvia was willing to be his canary by his side. The last time I saw her, I happened to see the scars on her body.
But I did not do anything.
While I was in a daze, I suddenly heard a call from behind.
“Honey, didn’t you say you wanted to work out with me? Why are you running for only three steps and saying you can’t do it anymore?” Seth asked while holding the big white dog and looking back at me at the end of the sunny road.
I couldn’t help but put on a smile and went to meet him.
“Here it comes?”
