Chapter 4
The wedding day breezed in, and when my dad caught sight of me, his gaze briefly flickered away.
But it didn’t take long for Olivia to pull him back into a state of sheer joy.
“Let the newlyweds exchange rings,” announced the officiant.
As those words echoed, they locked eyes, radiating deep love. That’s when a rugged man emerged at the end of the red carpet, clutching two beautiful kids, his eyes fixed on Olivia.
“Olivia Walker, you heartless woman!”
“Have you forgotten your own children?!”
Olivia spun around, her pupils shrinking in sheer panic.
Dad looked baffled, pausing in a daze as the scenario unfolded.

wedding tune now playing like a cruel joke.
As Walter loosened his grip, the two kids dashed towards Olivia, tugging at her dress and crying, “Mommy, Mommy…”
In a harsh move, Olivia pushed the children away, barking, “Get away, I don’t know you!”
Clinging to my father’s arm in desperation, she pleaded, “Jim, believe me, I don’t know them!”
Suddenly, Dad’s icy stare pivoted towards me, “Is this your work? Do you think you can force me back to your mother with this stunt?”
Seizing the accusation like a lifeline, Olivia blurted out, “Yes, it’s her!”
“Lily Anderson, I’ve always seen you as my best friend, yet here you are, betraying me! What’s going through your mind?”
Instantly, all eyes were on me.

I looked at the child Olivia had callously dismissed, finding dark humor in the denial of their obvious likeness.
My gaze swept over the audience, noting the whispers and shifting glances directed towards Olivia and the children.
“Get out of here! I, Jim Anderson, have no room for a disloyal daughter like you!”
Dad pointed dramatically towards the exit and shouted with authority.
I smirked at Olivia, who was visibly unraveling, “In this world, everything you do leaves a trace.”
My focus then shifted back to the two children trailing behind her, accentuating her ghastly pale demeanor.
“Olivia Walker, this is the reality. You can’t erase it by simply claiming ignorance.”
Her hands were clenched into fists, her lips pressed tight, her gaze distant and
unfocused.

Walter, seething with anger, whipped out two paternity test reports from his shirt pocket and flung them at Olivia’s face.
“You claim you don’t know them? If these aren’t your children, then whose are they?”
