Soon, the bedroom door was pushed open. I saw someone carefully approaching the bed and pulling out a phone, using the light to shine on Jeremy’s face. Thanks to that light, I could see who the intruder was-Simone!

I quickly looked for my keys.

Shaking his hair back, he proudly announced to me, “I was afraid that something might happen, so I made sure to install security cameras all over the house. I’ll make a copy of the footage and give it to the police later.”
Thinking about Simone’s failed attempt, I couldn’t resist chuckling again.
But since she had the nerve to set her sights on Jeremy, I decided to teach her a lesson.
