Jeremy sent me a text telling me that he was waiting for me outside my dorm. I changed into something nice and put on some makeup before heading down to meet him.
He had prepared a bouquet and a cake for me. Thrilled, I gave him a hug. When I looked up, I saw Simone hiding in a corner to observe us.
Vermin like her would hide in dark areas where she belonged,
When I returned to the room after dinner, Simone was nowhere to be seen. I checked her social media account and unsurprisingly, I found a new video.
This time, the stars of the video wers Jeremy and me. The video had been taken from a distance, so it was rather blurry.
The comments were all filled with vitriol toward me.
“Will she die without a man?”
“Look how happy she is just because he gave her a cake and some flowers. Is she supposed to be a wealthy socialite? She acts more like a country bumpkin instead!”
Simone had liked all of these comments. After skimming through them, I was just about to get ready for bed when I noticed that Simone was using one of my limited–edition bags in her videos.
I hurriedly got out of bed and checked my wardrobe. Since I had too many bags, I dumped them all inside my wardrobe without giving them much thought. However, I remembered that bag well because it was the one Jeremy got custom–made for my birthday last year.
True enough, the bag was missing.
Just then, Simone waltzed into the room, humming a melody.
When she saw me going through my bags, she cast me a shifty look. But when I didn’t react at all, she regained her composure and said, “Air–conditioning is bad for our health, Andrea. Why don’t we turn it off?”
Raising an eyebrow, I checked the temperature on my phone. It was 90 degrees Fahrenheit right now. What was Simone on about this time?
I grabbed the remote control for the air conditioner and went to bed. Even though I ignored Simone, she didn’t give up.
