Chapter 5 Divorce
had imagined what Niko’s reaction would be like: anger, shock, disappointment, and disgust.
But no matter what his reaction was, it was insignificant to me.
Everything around was terrifyingly quiet, even more silent than before.
I could even hear the sound of water splashing onto the ground, drip–drip–drip, and the
subconscious slowing down of the breath of the people around me.

The person speaking is the man who just jumped into the water to save me.
