Chapter 182
As soon as Ivy entered the living room. Moon walked up to her.
“I need to talk to you, Ivy. It’s something very important,” he said.
“Not now, Moon. I have to go out in a few to continue searching for Sonia,” she said, walking past him to her room
“You won’t find her. Not in the pack,” he said just as her hand touched her door handle,
She paused, and slowly turned around to face him
“What are you talking about. Moon? Why won’t I find her in the pack? Do you know something? If you know something and you’re not telling me, I swear I’ll be mad at you,” she warned all in one breath…
Moon questioned everything that had happened so far in his head.
His heart knew, and recognized that he was doing the right thing.
The problem was that in his head, he knew it would be over for him the second he spilled.
He was already hanging by a thread. Whatever information he gave out now would definitely aid in cutting off that thread forever.
“Moon!” She screamed. “I don’t have all day to play this waiting game with you. If you have something to say, say it. If you don’t then please excuse
She made to turn again, when his voice stopped her halfway.
She sighed, and returned her gaze to him.
“Sonia is not in the pack, because she’s back to Silverpaw.”
“What?!” Sonia exclaimed in disbelief
Her pupils constricted, and dilated at the same time.
Her ears
twitched in disbelief. She thought she wasn’t hearing properly.
It was no way Sonia was actually back in her pack.
“Are you sure, Moon? How do you even know?” She asked, very much confused, and disgruntled.
“Because I helped plan her escape, he confessed, and bowed his head because he was too scared to look at her face
Ivy heart broke. She felt the second it cracked into tiny pieces.
She had defended Moon with every breath in her.
She had gone against her own brother just to fight for him.
All this she had done, when he was in fact everything Lorena accused him of being.
“What did you do, Moon?” Her voice dropped an octave lower, spelling doom.
“I can explain, Ivy. Before you draw any conclusions, just allow me to explain,” he begged.
“What did you do, Moon!!” She screamed again, causing a jolt of shock to flow through his body.
“I can explain” he cried out sorrowfully
Then you better start before Ramon returns, and I lead him to you my damn self!”
His lips quivered, as he bobbed his head.
“It was the day 1 went to Lorena. The day the guards were looking for me and I had to run away. That day, I was running through the forest when I encountered something very interesting” he began.

She sat down, and crossed her legs, so she could listen to him better.
“I was running so fast, I had almost missed it. But I knew I had seen something very strange, so I came back, and hid behind a big tree.”
“What did you sec, Moon?” Ivy asked impatiently.
She hoped it was something helpful, and not just him trying to buy time.
He wasn’t going to escape her if he tried anything funny
If it came to that, she would use her position of power for the first time.
After all, it was time
time people knew who she actually was.
saw a door. No,” he shook his head, and his eyes squinted, as if he was trying to remember every single last detail of what he actually saw. “At first, it was just like trees arranged, but there was a passage. And in that passage, I saw-“his voice choked.
“You saw what, Moon” by urged him on
Her toes had curled with the way he told the story. She was desperate for him to hit the punchline, but it looked like he was more interested in telling the story in the most detailed way possible.
“Hazel” he said, and her heart skipped a beat
Are you sure!” She asked.
“Hazel! The wolf Ramon picked up when he was nothing but a child, and trained him? Are you
“A hundred percent sure. I saw Hazel go through that passage, and I followed him. I was very quiet so as not to alarm anyone. When I saw he had made it out of the pack, I was stunned. Because I had just discovered a secret door. But that was not all.”
Ivy swallowed the lump that had gathered
In her throat.
At this point, she was almost levitating with the urge for him to just complete his story.
“What else did you discover, Moon?”
“He was talking to someone that looked awfully familiar. Then I remembered that night of the festival of alphas, and I remembered the face.”
“Who was that?”
“Cade. Cade, one of the seven sons of the alpha Ferins of Silverpaw pack,” he said.
Ivy’s heart skipped a beat. Not only was Hazel, one of Ramon’s most beloved wolves the spy, he was also working for Ferins of all people.
This was all according to Moon though. Nothing was verified.
“When he was done talking, I hid as he returned. I waited for him to leave, before I went out through the same route he did. Thankfully, Cade had not gone yet. Perhaps he was still waiting around for some more news, I didn’t know. All I knew was that I had to tell him what I overheard from Lorena
-What did you hear from Lore
Moon?” Ivy asked, thankful
they were finally getting to the crux of the matter.
“Right before I stormed into Lore
room, I overheard them talking about killing Sonia. Someone had told her Sonia was alive, and in her words, the job had to be done better than the last time she tried. That was what made me snap, Ivy, and I attacked”
Tvy w03
y was already on her feet even before he was done talking.
“Where are you headed?” He called after her.
“Lock the doors, and whatever you do, don’t open it for anyone. I’ll be right back,” she said over her shoulders, as she slammed the door behind
her.
