I had Ferins right here. We could finally end this war between us.
I could kill him now and be justified. I could kill both of them, and no one would bat an eye.

I could easily have tossed them behind, but even in the heat of my anger, I saw some reasoning in them holding me back.

I wondered what news he had now. What could be worse than what I had just seen?
