“Then you must know what he is involved in.”
Lara responded quietly, “He is my boss, and it’s not my place to question his affairs.”
“Since he keeps you by his side, it means you’re capable. On that cruise ship, I almost believed you were just an innocent maid. But now I see you were sent to watch me, right?” Lara’s silence confirmed Debra’s suspicions. “You didn’t hand over Peter’s phone to him, so I owe you a favor. But if he finds out you’ve hidden something from him, all the trust you’ve worked to build with him will be gone.
