Debra remarked, “The situation here is truly something else. Even an underage girl has such deep thoughts.”
At her age, she was not as deep as Phoebe. Blame it on her fate. Phoebe was facing them. Any other person might have softened.
“Jealous?” Marion asked, embracing Debra from behind.
Just moments ago, Phoebe had rushed at him so quickly that he couldn’t dodge in time.

“Alright, I’ll throw them away when we get back,” Marion agreed, laughing at her jealousy. “Looks like I’ll need to bring more bodyguards to avoid being ambushed like that.”
“Forget it. Having a beautiful girl throw herself at you is hardly an ambush. You’re probably secretly thrilled,” Debra said, poking Marion in the chest.

He caught her hand and pulled her closer. The atmosphere in the office instantly turned intimate.
He kissed Debra’s hand, murmuring, “Doing it on the desk sounds exciting. We should try it when we get home.”
“What are you thinking?” Debra blushed, pushing him away.
Marion put away his smirk. “Alright, I shouldn’t have let my mind wander. But I do think we should give it a shot.”

Suddenly, the office door swung open. The secretary outside saw the two in an intimate embrace and quickly looked down.
“I’m so sorry. I’ll leave right away.”
“Come back,” Debra called her back. “What’s so urgent that you didn’t even knock?”
“Some shareholders and a few partners heard that you were back. They’ve all come over, saying they want to hold a shareholders‘ meeting,” the secretary explained.
“A shareholders‘ meeting?” Debra frowned.
A shareholders‘ meeting was a big deal for any company. It would not be held without a good reason.
“It seems someone is trying to stage a coup,” Marion sneered.
