After the euphoria of survival faded, Liam wasted no time expressing his disappointment in me.
“Jane, come back so we can finalize the divorce. A wife who can’t share hardships doesn’t deserve to be my partner. Clara is far more capable
and deserving than you.”
“Not yet,” I replied flatly. I had no intention of dealing with trivial matters until I’d weathered the upcoming challenges.
Survival took precedence over petty distractions.
Misinterpreting my words, Liam assumed I was trying to reconcile.
“Dragging it out won’t change anything! This experience opened my eyes. Clara is the woman I want to spend my life with!“.
I snorted, “You’re delusional. Here’s a tip: prepare some food and keep your distance from Clara.”
“Stop trying to come between us!” he snapped.

Ogo? We’re just a helpless mother and daughter who need him. You’re still young and childless; it’ll be easy for you to find someone else. Please, stop clinging to Liam…”
Seriously? I hadn’t even said anything, yet here she was, performing a full sob story.
Did she want a man so desperately that she wanted to rob mine?
“Why are you crying, Clara?” Liam’s concerned’voice cut in. The next thing I her? Can’t you go one day without bullying Clara?”
My patience snapped. These two were beyond ridiculous.
new, he was back on the line, furious. “Jane! What did you say
Fine. Let them have their little family. Now that they had the time and energy for games, I was eager to see how they’d survive the pitch–black,
freezing nights to come.
Would they show their true colors
when the darknes
pushed them to their limits? I couldn’t wait to find out.
