Gregory chose the DNA testing institution, fearing I might tamper with the results. He selected the most authoritative national–level testing
center.
I snorted coldly at his self–perceived cleverness.
After the staff at the testing center collected blood samples from me, Brianna, and Xixi, I asked them to also collect Gregory’s blood for
testing.
Gregory looked at me in disbelief, “Kaia, have you gone mad? There’s no doubt Xixi is my child!”
I smirked mischievously, “Let’s just do it while we’re here!
Although Xixi didn’t understand why I was doing this, she knew I must have a purpose, so she threw a tantrum to make Gregory do the paternity test too.
Gregory now treated Xixi like a precious treasure, so he agreed to her request.
As we were leaving the testing center, Brianna’s son George arrived late, carrying a bouquet of flowers.
“Sister!” he called affectionately to Xixi, offering her the flowers and moving in for a hug.
Xixi’s expression was as if she had swallowed a fly, utterly disgusted. She pushed him away forcefully.
“Don’t touch me!”
This boy, half a head taller than Xixi, looked quite presentable.
“Xixi, this is your brother Brianna quickly intervened, “Family should love each other!
Xixi rolled her eyes: “The test results aren’t out yet, don’t go claiming relationships so quickly
“I won’t disturb your family bonding,” I said coolly,
“Gregory, let’s go get divorced now.”
Since neither of us had any assets under our names, and there was no child custody to discuss,
Gregory and I didn’t even need to sign a divorce agreement. We directly obtained our divorce certificate.
Brianna’s eyes widened in surprise. She was overjoyed,
clearly not expecting our divorce to be so quick. She probably thought I would stubbornly refuse to divorce.
But Xixi stood firmly by my side. Seeing how close Xixi and I were, Briannas eyes reddened with envy again.
After Xixi left to get the car from the parking lot, Brianna finally found a chance to confront me alone, her tone sarcastic:
“Kaia, Gregory never loved you! Do you know why Xixi is named Xixi? Because there’s a ‘Soph‘ in my name!”
Gregory hugged Brianna, looking smug:
“Once the DNA test results come out, Xixi will naturally return to our side!”
George also dropped his innocent act that he had put on in front of Xixi, becoming arrogant:
“Now all the money belongs to sister! Once the DNA test results come out, you’ll be out on the streets!”
I couldn’t be bothered to respond to their stupid provocations.
Not getting a response from me, Gregory felt victory was ass
assured and revealed his true colors:
“You’ve controlled Johnson Group for so many years. Now it’s my turn to be in charge!”
“So you
you were indeed using Xixi to get your hands on Johnson Group, I said with a cold laugh.
“So what if I was?” Gregory’s face showed no shame,
“Now all the assets have been transferred to Xixi. Once the DNA test results come out, I’ll be the true master of Johnson Group!”
“Well then, Ill wait and see if you really have the good fortune to truly lead Johnson Group,” I said, my eyes cold as ice.
They thought they had it all figured out, believing victory was within their grasp.
But they didn’t know that from the very beginning, they never stood a chance.
While I was handing over work at the company, George showed up at the office, kicked out the general manager,
and sat down in the leather chair with his legs crossed, saying his sister was the chairman and he was the new general manager.
People didn’t dare stop him, but I wasn’t afraid to teach him a lesson,
“Throw him out!” I ordered coldly.
Several security guards immediately stepped forward to grab George.
“You dare touch me?” George jumped up, pointing at the security guards and cursing.
“My sister is the chairman! I’m her real brother! You dogs, just try and lay a finger on me!”
He also started hurling insults at me, “You bitch have already been kicked out of the Johnson family, you have no right to order Johnson Group employees around”
As he was yelling, he tried to push past the guards to hit me.
Such lawlessness!
Just then, Xixi arrived.
“What’s going on?” she asked coldly.
“Sister, you’re here just in time!” George immediately put on a pitiful expression,
“This old woman wants the guards to throw me out!”
“This is a company, not your playground!” Xixi looked at him coldly,
“And I’m not your sister.”
“Xixi, how can you talk to your brother like that?” Brianna had also arrived,
“You’re siblings, and in the future, your brother will help you manage the company. Otherwise, as a woman alone, you might be bullied.”
Xixi let out a cold laugh: “Throw both of them out!”
Seeing that kindness didn’t work, Brianna started making a scene, not letting the guards touch her,
“I’m the wife of Gregory Johnson, the heir of Johnson Group, and Xixi Johnson’s birth mother! This group is mine too!”
