“Are you willing to marry Kieran?”
My father is planning to retire, and although Kieran has been with my father for many years, he’s not part of the Chu family after all.
I was confused at first, but now I have an answer,
“Kieran, will you marry me?” I asked.
Two days later.

Silas sat in the studio, looking down at the interview Thea had given to that intern
reporter.
The intern curiously asked her: “Do you still love Mr. Smith now?”
Thea smiled and responded: “Not anymore.”
These simple three words inexplicably depressed him.
He had played this clip countless times, trying to find something in Thea’s eyes.
But to no avail.
Frustrated, he opened his chat with Thea.
But when he opened it, he realized that the last message was him reminding her to get the divorce certificate at nine o’clock, and she had replied with a simple “Okay.”
Then there was nothing else.
In the past, Thea liked to cling to him, sharing everything big or small with him at any time, and he would respond promptly when he saw it.
He scrolled up through their chat history.
Later on, it was mostly Thea talking to herself.
Occasionally, he would only reply with a “Okay” or “I got it” when he had time.
The company work was very busy.
After Professor Simon passed away, Jane developed depression and repeatedly
threatened suicide.
He simply couldn’t take care of everything.
Suddenly, Jack sent a message.

[Thea is going to marry Kieran.]
Silas stood up abruptly, accidentally knocking over the easel beside him. As the painting fell to the ground, he hurriedly went to pick it up.
A medical report was pressed under the canvas.
He was stunned for two seconds, and when he finished reading all the contents, his
gertips trembled.
[The patient has severe mood swings, recurring suicidal thoughts, and serious sleep disorders. After assessment, the patient shows tendencies of moderate depression.]
The date at the bottom was the day he proposed a fake divorce to Thea.
“Silas, what happened?” Jane heard the commotion and quickly ran from the master
bedroom to the studio.
When she saw the medical diagnosis in Silas’s hand, a calculating look flashed in her
eyes.
“Can I take a look at that report?” Jane asked softly.
Silas didn’t say anything, just feeling a dull pain in his chest.
She took the opportunity to take the medical report, flipped through a few pages, then pretended to sigh in relief, patting Silas’s shoulder to comfort him:
“Silas, don’t worry.”
“Don’t you remember? I’m also a depression patient. You’ve seen what it’s like when I
have an episode.”
“That day when I saw Thea, she looked so healthy, not at all like someone who was sick.”
“She might have been so angry that she got a fake medical report to deceive you.”
Jane looked at Silas.

She was about to continue speaking when Silas, suppressing his emotions, took the medical report from her hand.
After taking a few steps, he seemed to think of something and turned back to her:
“Don’t stay in the master bedroom after tomorrow.”
“If Thea finds out, she’ll make a fuss again.”
After he spoke, Jane stood there stunned.
By the time she reacted and chased after him: “Silas…”
Silas had already gone downstairs, leaving in such a hurry that he didn’t even take his
coat.
Whether the medical report was real or fake.
Whether Thea was going to marry Kieran or not.
At this moment, his only thought was to see Thea and bring her home.
