Jocelyn’s POV
Although Dante and I were now finally separated, it seemed as though some roles never refused to leave me, like the title of
Luna.
Some days after the meeting with the elders had gone by when Alpha Alexander knocked on my front door on a cold evening.
“Just because Dante is no longer Alpha, doesn’t mean that you should stop being Luna,” was the first thing he said with a small smile on his face.
Stunned, and at a loss for words, my gaze fell to his hands where I saw that he had with him a bouquet of flowers.
“Umm… that wouldn’t be right to your mate, Alpha Alexander. She should be Luna, not me.”

Alpha Alexander shook his head. “No, drop the alpha. Call me Alexander. I’m the same Alexander you used to know and if you give me the chance, I’d like to be that same Alexander to you for a long time to come. And as for my mate… I have none. Only you can fill in that position perfectly.”
My heart thundered in my chest, hearing all that Alexander said.
In an instant, I was taken back to the time
when we were younger and much closer friends. Never had I imagined things to turn out like this. I was beyond stunned but also intrigued.
I swallowed. “Is this you asking for my hand? Do the elders approve?”
His lips formed a smirk. “Yes, this is me asking for your hand, and as for the elders, they and everyone else with a working brain can see just how much impact you made as Luna and we all know that Dante was stupid for letting you go.

Heat rushed to my cheeks at all of Alexander’s words. It was no secret that Alexander was so much better than Dante, but the moon goddess had played a cruel trick on me by making Dante my fated
mate.
As if to clear any more doubts in my head, Alexander got on his knees. “Will you be my Luna and chosen mate, Jocelyn? I promise to show you just how much I cherish and respect you each day.”
Once again, I swallowed.
I could feel my wolf‘ s energy swirling inside of me, urging me to say yes, and so I did.
“Yes, I will be your Luna and chosen mate.”
That night, Alexander had dinner with my parents and me, and for the first time in at long time, I felt peace, that was until it was time for Alexander to leave and I saw Dante kneeling and weeping at my front door.

“Please, Jocelyn. Take me back, please. I
understand that I was a terrible mate now.
I have left Gabriella and I am ready to build a family with you. Please, just please, give me a second chance.”
I saw Alexander clench his fists by his sides. and I felt like he could beat Dante up at any moment, but he was only holding himself because I was present.
Holding Alexander’s hand in mine, and interlocking our fingers, I held my head up.
“No. The answer is no. I will never give you a second chance, because you do not deserve it and I have found my second chance, right here and I will be building a future with him.”
Dante’s eyes widened in an instant as he stared at our joined hands.
“Jocelyn is my mate now and she will be my Luna. So I suggest that if you do not wish to join Gabriella in the dungeons, you should leave now!” Alexander half said half growled.

A trace of fear ran through Dante‘ s eyes as I watched him get up and leave.
Fortunately, that was the last I ever saw of Dante.
A week later, Alexander and I had our mating ceremony and a year later, the moon goddess blessed us with two pups.
Alexander showed me what it was to love again while living me like I had never been loved before.
