Adrian was silent for a long time. Suddenly his eyes reddened. Before I could react, he had already pounced on me, hugging me tightly, as if wanting to fuse me into his bones.
“Hazel.” He called my name over and over, burying his head in the crook of my neck.
“I’m not dreaming, am I? Tell me it’s all real, right?”
Adrian and I embraced for a long time before he finally believed I wasn’t lying to him.
After finally calming down the crying man, I decided we should go to an amusement park as a family of three.
Adrian still instinctively fell silent, probably worried I would try to escape in the crowd at the amusement park. I promised repeatedly that we were just going to have fun, and he finally relaxed.
Along the way, our son was extremely excited, holding my hand and chattering non–stop. After a while, he looked at me apologetically.
“Does mommy think I’m talking too much?”
“Of course not. This shows that my baby has good language skills.”
Our son smiled shyly, his little face flushed red.
I also brought up transferring our son to a new school with Adrian.
Our son’s current school was a boarding kindergarten. He usually lived at school and only came home on weekends.
This was only because I didn’t want to see the child’s face that looked so much like Adrian’s.
In the past, Adrian had once knelt by my legs, his hands tightly gripping my waist, asking if I disliked our son.
“Do you dislike children, or just our child?”
He looked at me, his almond eyes filled with sorrow, kissing me in a pitiful manner.
I slapped him without mercy.
“I like my child, but not if it has your blood.”
Maybe those words stimulated Adrian. Afterwards, he sent our son to a boarding kindergarten.
To avoid the child appearing in front of me after school every day and affecting my mood.
Hearing my words, Adrian gripped my hand tightly.
“Okay, I understand. From now on, we’ll be a good family together.”
We played at the amusement park all day, only preparing to go home at dusk. Unexpectedly, an uninvited guest snuck in.
Rachel stood not far away, looking at us in shock, her eyes nearly devouring me with jealousy.
But she didn’t dare come forward, because Adrian was still by my side.
Rachel had known Adrian earlier than me and was determined to marry him.
But I didn’t know any of this, nor did I know that Rachel had deliberately drugged Adrian’s drink, wanting to turn rice into cooked rice.
But that night Adrian forcibly took me away instead. We had sex and as a result had Lucas.
Adrian didn’t allow Rachel to appear in front of me. She could only hide in corners and constantly message me.
“Hazel, I saw you at the amusement park. Why are you here?”
“Did Adrian force you to come? Don’t you remember what I said? Adrian just wants to control you. Don’t fall for it.”
“Think about Jack. He came back from abroad after much difficulty and is still waiting for you.”
The phone in my pocket kept vibrating. I casually handed it to Adrian beside me.
Adrian’s face darkened as he looked at the messages, silently putting the phone in his own pocket.
