Chapter 52
The sound of my alarm ringing was what woke me up from my six hours of sleep. I screamed into my pillow in frustration, grabbing a hold of my alarm clock and throwing it across the room. I stretched my hand to the other side of the bed, where Hayden was supposed to be, to find it empty. It was still warm, which meant it hadn’t been long since he left
I was about to fall asleep when my bedroom door slammed open, I was surprised; I remembered locking it earlier this morning when Hayden had sneaked in. I looked to the door to see Asher’s small frame staring at me, then to the shattered alarm clock lying on the floor. He sighed.
“Dang it, mom! Bree already broke it. He yelled.
I stuffed my head back into the pillow, refusing to get up. I felt my bed deep and a small hand shaking me awake.
“Bree, mom said to get up.” He says he is still shaking.
“Line man, let me sleep some more.” I grunt out, slowly drifting off to sleep.
“No, nom says you will be late for school if you don’t get up!
I opened my eyes and stood up.
“Fine, I’m awake. You can go now.” I said it with a sleepy voice
He looked at me to see if I was actually awake. After debating
ng with himself, he got off the bed and raced out of my room.
I went to the bathroom to freshen up, then walked to the closer to pick clothes to wear. I grabbed blue ripped skinny jeans and a white sweater. I dried my hair, leaving it down. I grabbed both my bag and phone before heading downstairs, I found any parents sitting on the couch, sipping their coffee, while Asher ate his breakfast.
“Good morning,” I said, taking a se
a seat beside Asher.
”
“Moming, sweetie. I decided to change today’s breakfast; I made some waffles. Let me get it for you,” my mom said, going into the kitchen
She came back with a plate of waffles and juice, putting it down in front of me. I wasted no time eating.
“What up with you? You went to bed early, yet you look like you haven’t slept in ages. My mom asked, looking at my face in concern.
I guess I’m not feeling too well; maybe if I stay home to recuperate, then I can go tomorrow I gave them a cheeky smile to see if it would work
“Nice try, sweetie, but you are going.” I shrugged. At least I tried
When I was done, I kissed both my mom and dad on the cheek, ruffling Asher’s hair. I walked out of the door, two houses down, where Hayden was parked, waiting for me. Lopened the door and goL
“Good morning, princess His voice sounded raspy like it always does every morning. . I kissed his cheek.
1 put on my seatbelt, and he drove out of the street in the direction of the school. I was about to get our when Hayden held me back. I gave him a confused look. I was wondering what was wrong.
“My mom did a litle bit of baking this morning and asked ine to give you some. It’s in the hack seat of the car”
“Oh..” I was surprised, apart from the dinner where I saw his mom, we haven’t met again. “Thank her for me
Twill
We both got out of the car, grabbing our backpacks. I also took the lunch box from the back of the car before making our way to the entrance of the school. Hayden followed me to my locker, his hand tightly situated around my waist, through the hallways. There was still immature poise from students, even though it had been over a week.
We got to my locker, and Hayden kissed my lips before making his way to his locker. I pressed in my combination, taking out my book for the next three classes. I made my way so my first class of the day when the bell rang
When I got into the classroom. Maddie, Sohe, and Oliver were there. Oliver and Sofie were sitting close to each other, throwing filthy glances at each other. I walked up to them, taking a seat beside Sodic.
Why do you look like she?” Maddie exclaimed
“I blame Hayden, he sneaked into my room last night.” I huffed, laying my head on the table.
“You guys are literally inseparable. Maddie cooed, stroking my head.

Chapter 52
The claws went silent when the teacher walked in. I raised my head, and we began
the lecture for the day.
School had ended an hour ago, and right now I was in a small, cute–looking cafe. I had just recently stumbled upon this place. It was two days ago when I came from the mall. I wanted to take a night walk when I noticed a new cafe that had recently opened. It was like a semi–library kind of where customers can read and relax while having a nice cup of coffee and snacks.
There were brown round tables that filled the room, along with walls on each side of the booth. At the back of the cafe were shelves filled with differri varieties of books, from romance to thrills, mystery to horror, and so on. Close to the library is a nice–looking middle–aged woman in charge of the book. You are required to fill out a form given to you before accessing any of the books so that they can keep track of whoever takes a book That way, none will go missing
I looked at the people in the room; at the far end were two young, lovely couples. They looked to be newlyweds, and anyone with proper eyesight could see it. I continued with the book I was reading while sipping coffee.
The doorbell tingles at the arrival of a new customer I dropped the book down on the table, glancing up and smiling when I save the person who
walked in
“Sorry I’m late; practice was longer than I expected. He says this, taking a seat two centimetres away from me.
“It’s okay, how was practice?” I asked, taking a sip of my coffee.
“Tiring, coach is really determined to work us hard, and the boys are getting tired because of the stress and pressure”
1 held his hand, giving is a gentle squeeze. “I guess he is just worried about the sponsors coming and wants his boys to do well.
“I know.” His eyes wandered around the cafe, taking in every detail. “I had no idea there was a cafe like this here.”
“Me neither. I heard it recently opened about a month ago”
waiter made her way to us, taking Hayden’s order before giving us privacy
“So, you wanted to tell me something important.”
I had texted him during lunch to meet me here. I didn’t like keeping secrets from my parents, especially my mom, and I know she has been waiting for Hayden and me to become items.
Since the students in school already know about us, it’s a matter of time before they find out, and I wanted to be the one to tell them instead of
some stranger.
“I want you to know that I plan on telling my parents about the two of us; I don’t want them to find out from people,” I explained to Hayden
Tunderstand: Lalso want to tell mine. I feel they deserve to know. I’m sure my mom is already planning out our wedding. He joked, making me laugh.
“Mine
“So, when should we tell them?”
“What about today? The quicker the better instead of pushing it off. That way, you can use the front door next time you decide to sneak into my
room.”
He
ughed. “I don’t know about that princess; I doubt he will like the fact that I spent the night in his daughter’s room, having my wicked ways with
We both laughed. The waiter came with Hayden’s order, and we spent another hour at the cafe. Hayden took me home, dropping me two houses
away.
I walked into the house, and like always, the wonderful aroma of my mom preparing dinner filled the place.
“I’m home.” I screamed, climbing up the stairs to my room. I tossed my bag on the floor, taking off my clothes and putting them in the cloth bin.
I walked into the bathroom, hopping into the shower, washing away school stress. After I was done, I changed into clean pyjamas, hopped on my bed, took out my assignment from my bag, and began to work on it.
I didn’t notice how time flies until my mom knocked on my door, opened it, and walked in
“Hey, sweetie, dinner is ready, come help me and set the place.
“Sure mom.” I got off the bed and walked behind my mom down the stairs. We got to the kitchen, and he helped take the food out to the dining
