Chapter 11
Six days before the wedding.
That girl updated again: [I want to give him my first time, then I’ll have no regrets.]
The attached image was a hotel kay card.
At that moment, James was cooking in the kitchen.
I heard his phone ring
He answered it, his expression changing slightly. He glanced at me out of the corner of his oye as I sat quietly smiling at
him from the living room
He walked out to the balcony.
When he came back, he was already untying his apron: “Something came up at the company I’ve finished cooking, you eat
first be back soon.”
Ismiled and asked, “You’re in such a hurry. You’re not going on a date with someone, are you?”
James’s eyes darted away for a moment, as if avoiding something. He quickly pinched my cheek: “What are you talking
about? It’s really urgent”
He lied again. But his eyes were full of tenderness and patience for me.
I hold onto his sleeve: “I’m not fooling well today. Can you stay?”
“Where don’t you feel well?”
James touched my face, the warm sensation making me shiver slightly
I pointed to my heart: “Here.”
He smirked and kissed my forehead: “Little trickster, don’t fuss. I’ll go and come right back. Il come home early tonight to
be with you.”
He still had to go.
After he left, I quietly followed behind him.
Usually such a cautious parson, how urgent must it be for him not to notice me following him the whole time?
He didn’t even park properly, forgetting to lock the car. I watched him rush into the hotel, imagining the scene between James and that girl in the hotel room. He lowered his head to kiss her lips, they stumbled towards the bed. James pressed her onto the bed, his body covering hers. His kisses troiled down from her lips. The girl writhed beneath him like a docile kitten. They tumbled in bed, joining and separating again and again. Sweat soaked their bodies and the sheets.
The more I thought about it, the more upset I became, tears blurring my vision. I waited outside until midnight, but James nover came out. Heartbroken, I went home alone.
